Preview of Things to Come
After a busy couple of weeks, "Dave" and I finally made plans to go to dinner and the movies, a much more traditional type of date. We had fun on the first one, but I wasn't really sure if he was someone I could see myself with years down the road, let alone months. We picked National Treasure, as it was supposed to be a nice general movie and we had liked the first one.
We went to a small Italian restaurant I had never heard of near his place. The food was amazing, and the wine selection wasn't read more..

Nothing New
What can be more fun than going to Sea World? An entertaining date. My thought is always if I find something fun and stimulating to do on a date it won't be as likely to be filled with awkward silence and go badly. This time I was wrong.
Admittedly I'm not much for rides. I've been going to Sea World since I was a kid. We bought season passes since its educational not just fun. I like to feed the dolphins and see the different types of fish. The rides are great for when your legs are tired, but read more..

Sleigh Ride to Heck
So when I made my profile I made it rather obvious that horses ARE MY LIFE. Get me get my horse, you know? So when "Scott" contacted me we agreed to meet at the barn and go on a sleigh ride. It winter, and romantic, but not too exclusive since the tails go around the farm and there are always other people around. He drives up in a sports car and proceeds to make faces while trying to avoid anything remotely dirty looking with his Italian leather loafers. Its already pretty apparent that this is probably read more..

Wet Weekend
We had talked so much on the phone that it seemed the date would be a blast. We decided to hit up some museums since that held both of our interest and we thought that it would give us something to talk about as we went through out date.
We had a nice little route set up, and a museum and art gallery as well as maybe a visit to some popular buildings down town. There would be a stop for food somewhere too if we felt like it, as there were many places on our route that we could choose from.

Winter Blues?
After the last disaster of expecting a nice guy to go with me to a nice evening, I decided to lower my expectations. When I got a reply from a nice guy (we'll call him Dan) who only lives a couple minutes away I decided a nice day at the zoo was an easy starting point that could either end with heading home or heading out somewhere else in the city. I was embarrassed when I got to the zoo 5 mins after we agreed and saw a good looking man holding a sign with my name and a rose. I have to say I was read more..

New Year-Same Old Dating No-nos
Chemistry is the last thing that was used to match me with my date for the $50 a plate New Years charity party. You'd think the fact that we were going to a $50 a plate party, let alone one for charity you would end up with a classy guy. I mean the guy flipping burgers is hardly going to have a tux to wear to something like this. I've got news for you: he does. I don't know if he rented it or borrowed it from someone, but it didn't exactly fit like it should. He didn't look like the picture on his read more..

disasters for dinner-second dates for dessert
My date started off rocky. First off, he picked me up in a wrecked truck and the passenger seat was messed up. There was countless items in the back cabin of the truck. He got lost driving to the restaurant. Then we had to push the truck because it broke down near the parking lot of the restaurant. Now by this time, I was thinking that there would be no chance of a second date.
However, my mind soon changed as we began dinner. He had paid Armando to sing for us and it was beautiful. We found that read more..

I don't think so!
So, there was this guy whom I've come to affectionately call FAH which is just a nickname for the longer name I called him that night. We met at Chili's and he was cute and charming. So... we had dinner, then he asked if he could come over for coffee and we could talk awhile longer. I agreed. Now, I'm not stupid... I have roommates who were home, so I knew I'd be safe. We got to my house, he got a little too friendly. Then he told me "I paid for dinner, how about you give up the desert". I read more..
