Is something wrong with me..?
I'd promised myself after a devastating Christmas, to stop trying at this online find a girl thing - but these January breezes just wont let lonely leave me alone.
So I found Sandi on the VibesConnect board and after a few tentative emails and even more tentative phone calls, we met one Saturday by Prendy's on the Beach. It was cool, quite a few people were out and I was enjoying myself.
Sandi looks good, very pretty and petite, definitely my kind of girl. Halfway through our fish dinner read more..

Bachelor for life ...is she's the only one
I met Ann while casually surfing through some pics on VibesConnect. Her pics were HOT - even raunchy....and she had some serious assets that interested me. Many emails flew both ways and I had a ringtone just for her. Things were looking up.
Ann is a dancehall fan. I later found out that she's also a little skettel. We arranged to go to the Sting concert, after hanging out at Hellshire Beach. All I can say is that she has a health appetite and can hold her liquor - she did better than me. read more..

Boy Next Door
We did the usual I guess, emailing back and forth a little to introduce ourselves and see if we got along before we committed to a date. Well we talked about the normal kinds of things; family, what work we did, the fact that it was coming up to super Tuesday, how weird the weather was lately.
After a couple of days of emailing we finally figured out that we worked in the buildings next to each other! So rather than waiting to make a date for the weekend, we decided to just meet up outside my office read more..

Moms Meeting Dads
I am a single mother and finding it harder every day to find someone to date with the same life goals as mine. After my last nightmare date I did not have high expectations when I met David on Match.com. But after emailing for three weeks I thought he was too good to be true. I am always up front when I meet people online that I am a single parent. David was ok with this and in fact was a single father himself. We decided to meet up for a lunch date at Olive Garden restaurant which I was looking read more..

Eye Roller
One date! I just want one date that does not end with me going home feeling like the night was a waste of time. Normally I try to keep a positive attitude about dating but after this date, I do not know how anyone could. I met Anthony on Match.com and he seemed to have a lot in common with me. We only chatted online for a week before meeting in person. We met up at a local pub named the Streets of London for some beer and fish and chips. I discovered through conversation that Anthony really read more..

Left Waiting
Billy and I talked a lot before our date was due. Probably four times, over two weeks, and we sent emails back and forth. We had set up to go to the Tame Otter for dinner, which I had done a few times before and liked it. It's really old fashioned but it's pretty decent for a date because it's not too noisey and so you get to talk.
I turned up about ten minutes early and sat where we agreed on, so that we would know we had the right person. I started to get nervous at the time he was supposed to read more..

Social Butterfly
I thought I hit the jackpot when I discovered Chris after only two weeks of joining an online dating service. We had so much in common and it felt like I was gossiping with a close girlfriend every time we would email. I was thrilled to meet him in person. He suggested meeting at a local bar/restaurant where we both lived near. At first it was everything I expected. He was fun, playful and so easy to talk to. I could see this turning into a great night. Then about every two to three minutes read more..

Top That!
This date was an interesting one. I met Jim online and had chatted with him for about two weeks before deciding to meet. We decided to do a two hour river boat cruise that serves dinner and drinks. I had never been on a river boat cruise before and thought this would be a great first date. Jim arrived on time and conversation started to flow freely at the start of the night. Then I noticed that every time I told him a story or something interesting that had happened to me, he would always have read more..

The Ice Never Really Thawed
I was really looking forward to meeting Ann. She was into long distance bicycle touring and so am I. Last time I met someone with that much in common we really connected. My expectations were probably a little too high. We couldn't do a cycling date because it's the middle of winter here for crying out loud. Instead We went ice skating on a private little lake at a friends place. She looked way better than her picture. Tall slim graceful blonde. Thankfully I can skate passably. She carved the read more..

Sneezy!
When Adrian called I knew we should have called off the date. He sounded stuffed up and full of something that I really did not want to catch, and yet this was his first match and so he wanted it to work out, and we took the chance anyway.
Well I was right, he was full of a heavy cold, and he sneezed most of the way through the most lovely Greek/Cypriot meal that I have had in years. The food was great and he said he liked it, though how he could taste anything I will never know, through all that. read more..
