She passed the test
I am a single father, and a chef. As you can guess I am very busy. I met Angie on perfectmatch in December, but with schedules it was hard to get together before almost the middle of January. We talked a lot on the phone before hand, and I decided it was best to invite her to my home for dinner on my evening off work. That way she could just meet the kids right off and I could show off to her with my cooking skills (what woman doesn't love a man who cooks?). I prepared her a lovely meal of baked read more..

Cupid's Missed Chance
I'm a pretty easy going guy. I like cold beer and pretzels and football on TV. I don't like to wear a tie or have to memorize silverware settings. So what I am looking for in a girl is the same simple manner. No being high strung or high maintenance. Just a quiet, easy acceptance of the simple pleasures in life.
I thought I found that when I got a message from Tasha. We agreed to meet at my favorite local bar and grill to play some pool, listen to the band and just generally hang out.
I first knew read more..

First try-part two
So early evening I met Kiel at the local mall to do some window shopping before heading to the movie. I needed to buy my mom a birthday present and I figured it would be a good chance to chat and see how receptive he was to my needs.
He walked around made suggestions, tracked down salespeople, and carried my bags without a fuss at all. Come to find out he has three sisters. Needless to say he's used to it and didn't seem to mind at all. My mom is going to love his suggestion on what slippers to read more..

First try
So I am not so sure about this while online dating thing, it kind of creeps me out but I never meet the right guy when I try myself so I decided to make two attempts before giving up completely. I joined a few sites and waded through the shallow attempts at booty calls and found two worthwhile gems.
I went to meet Kiel Friday night at Starbucks. I figured the baristas know me and would protect me if he was some scary guy or something. Lucky for me he actually not only resembled his profile pic but read more..

Brighter Evening
Who ever thought that movies were a good way to have a first date? I have to admit that we were stupid for picking a date that had us sat in silence for two hours, as there really was no way that we could interact and get to know each other, but when we left we went for dinner and things started to pick up a little.
The movie it turned out did do us some good, as we had something to talk about. Neither of us had particularly enjoyed the movie, but we were able to talk about why we didn't like it, read more..

Please help me I'm falling ... in LOVE
When my bestfriend told me that she'd signed me up on a dating website, I was a little upset with her. It's not my thing.
Anyway I took the plunge and hooked up with Jason. Three weeks later and after some pleading, I agreed to meet him for a dinner date. Well the moment I saw him at my door that Sunday afternoon, I was a goner. He was DEE-LICIOUS! And he had a long-stemmed rose for me.
The restaurant, Shula's On The Beach, was his choice - but in retrospect, we could've gone anywhere read more..

Super Blowout
So when I accepted a date with Ted I knew it wouldn't be perfect. A Superbowl party isn't exactly the best time to get face time with a guy. I know this, as does any girl with a brain. I didn;t factor in being treated like a waitress as well.
We went over to his friends house where the party. It looked like a baby shower in reverse. Instead of the guys hiding in the garage smoking and drinking beer and watching sports on the teeny TV and the ladies taking over the kitchen/dining room/living room read more..

I could have danced all night...
So when Jeff asked to take me out for dance lessons at his favorite dance hall, I was a little surprised. It just seemed like a very different first date... but then, I am doing this to have more fun in life, right? So I took the risk. I met Jeff at the Hall, and he brought me a rose! I was very impressed. He looked good in his get up (it was country line dancing night, and he was dressed like an urban cowboy, LOL!). He took me in to the dance hall and paid for our lessons and I admit I was read more..

Leaving Las Vegas
I met Craig and instantly hit it off with him online. We chatted for about a month before I actually asked him out on a date. Our first date was very simple. We decided to meet up at a coffee house. I could tell that this was an instant connection from the moment he walked in and I saw those beautiful blue eyes. We chatted for about three hours. I kept thinking to myself, finally, I meet a guy with the same values and sense of humor. I thought I had won the dating lotto at that point. Towards read more..

Dating a Human
After the previous week's disaster date with the guy who thought on first meeting that he could tell me how to dress, I was glad to finally be dating a human. Jake seems really nice, and was very happy to see me when I showed up a little late to our meeting point, inside the Pitcher and Piano. That's a pretty weird pub, that is inside an old, de-holyed church!
The prices are just as bad if not worse there than at O'Neills, but this guy didn't mind. What's more, he was happy to either pick up the read more..
