What a Snob!
I should have known that things would turn out badly when he thought it stupid that my mates call me 'Memma' instead of Emma. From that moment on he seemed to look down at down his stupid long nose, and the tone of the date was well and truly set.
He didn't like the top I was wearing, he said that it was too low cut and showed too much skin. What bloke would tell you that on a first date? I would never dream of insulting a guy on the first date like that-but he claimed it was just to keep things read more..

I don't feel so good...
Scott and I had tried to hook up a couple times before we actually got together, but he had to cancel at the last minute both times. So we finally hooked up last Saturday night. We met up at Hard Rock, and ordered food and talked about work and stuff. We'd already talked quite a bit on the phone, so I felt like I already knew him to some extent. When our food came I noticed that Scott was kinda pushing his food around on his plate, but not really eating. Then he started to look a bit green and read more..

And They Wonder Why I Am Single
I grew up with three sisters and my mother. The only guy. I'm used to girls and their moods and whims. So when I accepted a date with Kimmie I didn't think it would be an issue she seemed high maintenance. Boy was I wrong.
She was an hour late because she had a "hair emergency" which apparently required her rewashing, drying, and styling her hair. Then she had to pick out what to wear out of the top 5 she had decided on earlier with her friends' help. By time we left I was glad I hadn't made reservations read more..

Up in Smoke
Curt and I met up at Starbucks for coffee and snacks on that friday afternoon. I thought at first he was a little weird, but he was nice and we had some things in common - both coming from divorced parents with 3 kids and one very younger half sister. I was kinda suprised because in his post with the dating company he said he was a carpenter, but it turns out he just *works* for a carpenter. Doing odd jobs. Not that that's a big deal, but why lie about it? And he kinda laughed when I told him read more..

Should have stayed home
Ann and I had been chatting online, and a few infrequent phone calls for about 6 weeks. It was Ann's suggestion that maybe what the relationship was lacking was maybe us getting together face to face over a nice dinner.
We arranged to meet at a convenient Olive Garden restaurant and although I'm no real fan of Italian fare, Ann on the other hand, was a ricotta freak. I desperately wanted to please her and I was there on time to meet her. Well, can I tell you, the pictures she had sent me must read more..

Wrong Picture but Nice Restaurant
I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 6 months and this was the first date I had been on in awhile. I was a little nervous about it but the guy, Jim, seemed like he was nice and he was pretty hot looking! At least from what I could tell from the website. We met a very ritzy restaurant “Above” in New York City. It was fun to get dressed up and go out to a nice place. My ex never took me anywhere nice to eat. Jim had said he would be waiting in front of the restaurant with a dozen tulips read more..

Running Late
While browsing through this dating site I was pretty excited when I came across Jerry. We had a lot in common as we had both studied music in college. I was really excited to meet him and we agreed to meet at my favorite restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately, he was 20 minutes late and I am a stickler for being on time. Seriously, I have better things to do with my time then wait around in the lobby of a restaurant. When he finally arrived and we were seated we did have some nice read more..

Star crossed lovers
I met Ali on matchstudents a about a month and a half ago, we spent most of late december playing email tag as to when we could get together (I have family in the area, and was pretty busy during the holidays). We finally hooked up on the 4th. Ali came over to my house to pick me up (I live in shared housing; my roomies were home!) before we went out to what happened to be both of our favorite restaraunt! We had a lovely dinner and a great conversation. We have similar outlooks on life despite read more..

Ferry Trip
We took a rather different approach to our first date; an organised day trip to France on the ferry, for just a few hours in Calais. We both speak French, and both live not far from a ferry port, and the trip didn't cost all that much.
We started the day really early-too early, I hate mornings. But a coffee or two helped me to be civilised, and not be a bear and bite someone's head off-lest of all my date's.
The ferry was gorgeous on the way over and the weather was so nice. Blue sky above, sunny, read more..
