Star crossed lovers
I met Ali on matchstudents a about a month and a half ago, we spent most of late december playing email tag as to when we could get together (I have family in the area, and was pretty busy during the holidays). We finally hooked up on the 4th. Ali came over to my house to pick me up (I live in shared housing; my roomies were home!) before we went out to what happened to be both of our favorite restaraunt! We had a lovely dinner and a great conversation. We have similar outlooks on life despite read more..

Ferry Trip
We took a rather different approach to our first date; an organised day trip to France on the ferry, for just a few hours in Calais. We both speak French, and both live not far from a ferry port, and the trip didn't cost all that much.
We started the day really early-too early, I hate mornings. But a coffee or two helped me to be civilised, and not be a bear and bite someone's head off-lest of all my date's.
The ferry was gorgeous on the way over and the weather was so nice. Blue sky above, sunny, read more..

Walkin' my baby back home...
We were talking to each other online for nearly a year before I had the good fortune of going to Chicago on a businees trip. Well, it wasn't going to get a better so first chance I got, I rented a car, googled her address and drove to her door in Madison, Wisconsin.
After all the screaming and hugging, we decided to go for dinner at the Red Lobster in town. We just kinda skimped through the meal as we just chatted and looked into each other's eyes. We then left and took a long walk about the read more..

You talk too much
Gerrod and I chatted via email for a short while before going out on our first date. Since we are both busy students, we agreed to meet at the Museum Cafe on campus for lunch, which is actually very nice. He was very nice at first and started telling me about his family. And then his schooling and the courses he was taking now. And then where he wanted to go on a mission. And then about his church back home. The man would just not shut up! I swear, he talked more than my three sisters do combined! read more..

Wet Blanket
The only word I can think of to describe the date and the guy is lame. We met up outsideEdwards before going to a pretty cruddy nightclub, staying local instead of finding somewhere decent and in fact didn't even go to the better of the local nightclubs.
My date was kind of a wet blanket, 150lb dripping wet, and as wussy as they come. In fact when we first went into the nightclub, I got shoved by some guys who were starting trouble there, and who the bouncers threw out. But my date turned to me read more..

I Had The Time of My Life
and I owe it all to her.....
We met up for a more formal date at an indoor climbing gym. I figured the best way to test her was to see if she really was athletic or just pretending.
While we climbed we discussed family, our childhoods and our jobs. We found we both come from families that aren't native to VT and we moved back as adults to the one place we felt comfortable. We both liked Carebears and GI Joe as kids, and had siblings who ignored us. I worked in company restructuring and she worked read more..

Winter Wonderland
Who ever thinks they will end up close to 30 and still not settled into the "American Dream?" Certainly not me, which is why I manned up and made a profile on singles.com
When I got a reply back from a lady my age and not afraid of a bit of weather I decided it was the perfect excuse to go play in the snow so we made arrangements to go skiing. I'm so glad we did.
I go to the mountain alot, I have a season pass and a nice matching ski outfit as well as one for snowboarding. So its pretty easy to read more..

Gentleman? More like barbarian
My date and I had agreed to go to Pizza Hut for our dinner date because it was both of ours favorite restaurant. When I arrived, he was kind enough to pull my chair out for me and seat me. I though that it was gentlemanly of him to do and thanked him. We talked a bit before ordering our drinks, and when the waitress came to take our beverage order he ordered Pepsi for me. I remembered telling him that Pepsi was my favorite pop so I was only a tiny bit annoyed. We were having a good time until the read more..

Ew... brotherly kiss
I hooked up with Isao through plenty of fish. We chatted via email for a couple weeks before actually meeting (he actually had to cancel our first date because he had to work). We went to this awesome sushi restaurant where the sushi cruises around on this little conveyor belt and you just grab whatever you want off of it. We found out we have similar tastes in Anime, and we both like to read manga (I wasn't too surprised, since he's Japanese, but he was a bit surprised since I'm just a white read more..

Pancakes+Books=Love
I went out with Tom a couple of weeks ago. We decided to meet at a Minnie's cafe on Broadway super late one evening because we are both night owls. So he showed up a little late, but not too bad, and considering he took the bus in, not his fault I suppose. Not many that time of night. Anyway, we had coffee and ate dutch babies and chatted about life and stuff. He seemed pretty cool, a “real” person, not like he was trying to sell me some persona. Turns out we're into a lot of the same stuff, read more..
